■ Creative Concept：

This marks E’s first fully systematic construction of a fictional creature. The core of the design focuses on the cross-boundary fusion of life forms, deeply blending the trapping mechanisms of carnivorous plants, such as pitcher plants and sundews, with the physiological structure of amphibians, particularly frogs. Through the creation of its habitat, mimicry mechanisms, and local folklore, the work gives this species a sense of reality that extends beyond its physical form.

■ Background Setting：

This species inhabits slow-moving bodies of water. Its survival mechanism is highly unique: in daily life, it exposes only its flower-like head above the water’s surface, using its stamen-like tongue to spray a strongly scented, sticky liquid that lures and captures insects as well as small to medium-sized creatures. To adapt to a floating aquatic lifestyle, its body has evolved multiple air sac structures, while its webbed toes and dorsal fin allow it to move rhythmically through the water.

Its back is covered with a hard carapace to defend against predators. Even more unusually, leaf-like structures resembling aquatic plants grow from its body surface. These not only provide camouflage, but also assist in nutrient acquisition through photosynthesis. As a life form that exists between the boundaries of animal and plant, it is feared and revered by local residents for its endless predatory instinct, earning the name The Gluttonous Entity of the Water. It was therefore named 㵅.
